CYNGOR CYMUNED COMMUNITY COUNCIL

Welcome to the website of Llandegla Community Council

The council encompasses a rural area containing the village of

Llandegla in the parish of Saint Tegla in the upper valley of the

river Alun just off the A525 between Ruthin and Wrexham.

The boundaries of the community include both the village of

Llandegla itself and the neighbouring village of Pen-y-stryt.

Notably the village boundary includes Llandegla Forest, a fa-

mous mountain biking centre, which attracts tens of thousands

of visitors every year.

We are an elected body of 6 councillors from all walks of life who

work tirelessly and voluntarily form the good and betterment of

the people we represent.

We meet on the first Thursday of the month at 7.00p.m. at the Village Hall.

We have an elected chairman and vice chairman and a clerk who deals with all our correspondence.

Our local county councillor is also present at our meetings. We discuss many things from roads, footpaths, buildings, to giving

views and comments on planning applications before they are sent before the full county council.

Occasionally, we are visited by our local Community Policeman or our local M.P. Members of the public are welcome to come and

attend our meetings.
